Abstract
Tooth extraction is followed by marked hard and soft tissue changes of the residual alveolar ridge, including severe bone alterations, both in height and in width. Socket/ridge preservation is used to preserve the volume of the alveolar ridge when the tooth is extracted. This case reports shows 2 ridge preservation technique cases in damaged extraction sockets. Ridge preservation seems to be effective in maintaining ridge dimensions after tooth extraction.
